AMFI Data May 2026: The Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) has released its monthly data for May 2026, detailing the performance, inflows, outflows, and Assets Under Management (AUM) of the mutual fund industry.
The Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) reported that monthly SIP contributions declined to Rs 30,954 crore in May 2026, compared with Rs 31,115 crore in the previous month, indicating a marginal month-on-month decrease.
Total AUM stood at Rs 81.58 lakh crore compared to Rs 81.92 lakh crore, MoM.
Equity Assets Under Management (AUM) rose to Rs 36.14 lakh crore in May 2026 from Rs 35.74 lakh crore in the previous month.
The mutual fund industry recorded a net outflow of Rs 0.64 lakh crore in May 2026, compared with a net inflow of Rs 3.22 lakh crore in April.
Net inflows into equity mutual funds declined to Rs 22,907.77 crore from Rs 38,440.20 crore on a month-on-month basis.
Gold ETFs witnessed a net outflow of Rs 725.04 crore in May, against a net inflow of Rs 3,040.31 crore in the previous month.
ETFs recorded a net outflow of Rs 620.22 crore, compared with a net inflow of Rs 10,754.86 crore in April.
Liquid funds saw a net outflow of Rs 0.30 lakh crore, against a net inflow of Rs 1.65 lakh crore in the previous month.
Corporate Bond Funds registered a net outflow of Rs 7,009.94 crore, compared with a net inflow of Rs 6,196.51 crore a month earlier.
Credit Risk Funds attracted net inflows of Rs 49.46 crore, down from Rs 1,317.68 crore in the previous month.
Large Cap Funds received net inflows of Rs 1,592.93 crore, compared with Rs 2,524.61 crore in April.
Dividend Yield Funds reported a net outflow of Rs 97.46 crore, higher than the Rs 20.58 crore outflow recorded in April.
Sectoral/Thematic Funds witnessed net inflows of Rs 647.87 crore, down from Rs 1,949.36 crore in the previous month.
ELSS Funds recorded a net outflow of Rs 650.78 crore, compared with a net outflow of Rs 567.73 crore in April.
AMFI Data April 2026: Equity mutual fund inflows decline 5% MoM to Rs 38,440 crore in April
The total inflows in equity mutual funds declined 5% to Rs 38,440 crore in April compared to Rs 40,450 crore in March. Meanwhile, on a year-on-year basis, the inflows soared 58% from Rs 24,269 crore recorded in April 2025.
Smallcap funds emerged as the second-highest inflow category in April, attracting Rs 6,885 crore, followed closely by midcap funds with inflows of Rs 6,551 crore. On a month-on-month basis, inflows into smallcap funds rose 10% from Rs 6,263 crore in March, while midcap funds recorded an 8% increase from Rs 6,063 crore.
Among other categories, focused funds saw the lowest positive inflow at Rs 1,194 crore. Meanwhile, ELSS funds witnessed an outflow of Rs 567 crore, while dividend yield funds recorded outflows of Rs 20.58 crore.

Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) has released its monthly data for March 2026 detailing the performance, inflows, outflows, and Assets Under Management (AUM) of the mutual fund industry. The total AUM stood at Rs 73.73 lakh crore, compared to Rs 82.03 lakh crore in the previous month.
Equity-oriented AUM also declined to Rs 31.98 lakh crore from Rs 35.39 lakh crore on a month-on-month basis.
Within the equity segment, Flexi Cap funds led the category with net inflows of over Rs 10,000 crore, followed by Small Cap funds at Rs 6,263 crore and Mid Cap funds at Rs 6,063 crore.
On the flows front, the industry recorded a significant net outflow of Rs 2,39,910 crore in March, reversing the strong net inflow of Rs 94,530 crore seen in February. However, equity schemes continued to attract investor interest, with net equity inflows rising to Rs 40,450 crore from Rs 25,978 crore in the previous month, indicating sustained retail confidence in equities despite broader market movements.
