CRED introduces multi-bill payment, autopay features for credit card users

CRED launches ‘Cash by CRED’: Key features of the new credit and lending app

Fintech platform CRED has introduced two new features aimed at simplifying credit card bill payments for its users: multi-bill payment and autopay.

The company said users can now pay multiple credit card bills in a single transaction through a consolidated payment flow. The feature allows users to select all credit card bills for which statements have been generated and complete payments at one time instead of making separate transactions for each card.

CRED has also launched an autopay facility that enables users to automate credit card bill payments across different issuing banks through the app. Under the feature, users can choose a fixed date every month for automatic payment of their credit card dues from a selected bank account, subject to a limit of up to ₹2 lakh per bill.

According to the company, users will receive notifications when a bill is generated, before the payment is processed, and after the transaction is completed. The autopay service can also be paused or cancelled through the app.

The launch comes as many consumers use multiple credit cards for rewards, spending management and credit-building purposes. Managing several cards often requires tracking different billing cycles and due dates across issuers.

CRED said more than 70% of its members use more than one credit card. The company stated that the new features are designed to reduce the effort involved in monitoring and paying multiple credit card bills.

Founded in 2018, CRED offers services including credit card bill payments, credit score tracking and financial management tools. The company said it serves over 15 million users in India.

Earlier this month, CRED launched a new standalone application, Cash by CRED, aimed at helping users assess their borrowing capacity and access loans based on their financial profile.

The company said the app combines multiple credit-related tools, including credit score checks, loan calculators and affordability analysis, into a single platform. Unlike some of CRED’s existing offerings, the new app is available to all users and is not limited to CRED members.
