GR Infraprojects gains 6% after go-ahead for ₹1,898 crore West Central Railway project


Shares of GR Infraprojects Ltd. jumped more than 6% on Monday, June 15, after the company received the appointed date for a ₹1,897.51 crore railway project awarded by West Central Railway.

In an exchange filing, the company said West Central Railway declared June 15, 2026, as the appointed date for the project involving the construction of a new railway line between Bahari and Gondawali stations in Madhya Pradesh.

The project has a contract value of ₹1,897.51 crore, including GST, and will be executed under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode.

The scope of work includes the construction of a new railway line from Km 124.400 to Km 165.380 as part of the Sidhi-Singrauli New Rail Link Project in Madhya Pradesh.

The project involves earthwork, minor and major bridges, important bridges, viaducts, road-over-bridges (ROBs), road-under-bridges (RUBs), limited-height subways, station buildings, tunnels, track work and other associated infrastructure.

According to the company, the project is scheduled to be completed within 900 days from the appointed date.

The declaration of the appointed date allows the company to commence execution of the project and begin recognising revenue in line with the project’s progress.

GR Infraprojects is engaged in the construction and development of road, railway and power transmission infrastructure projects across India.

Shares of GR Infra are trading 3.9% higher on Monday after the post-contract spike, currently trading at ₹889.4. The stock is still down 11% so far this year.
