The scope of work includes supply, installation, integration and commissioning of disaster recovery IT infrastructure at a MeitY empanelled CSP data centre, along with its operation and maintenance for five years. The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and is classified as a Letter of Intent.
The execution timeline for the order is up to January 12, 2027. RailTel received the Letter of Intent on June 16, 2026. The company stated that the promoter or promoter group has no interest in the awarding entity, and the order does not fall under related party transactions.

Back in April, RailTel said that the company had received two Letters of Awards from its peer company, Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) Ltd, worth ₹565 crore. The order pertains to the supply, installation, testing and commissioning (SITC) of comprehensive, integrated communication systems in railway tunnels.
Additionally, the company has received a work order from the UP Policy Recruitment and Promotional board worth ₹44 crore.RailTel’s security-related ancillary services for recruitment exams are part of the work order. The said order is worth ₹44 crore.
RailTel Corporation of India reported a 25% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter at ₹142 crore, compared with ₹114 crore in the same period last year.

Revenue for the quarter increased 28% to ₹1,669 crore from ₹1,308 crore a year earlier. EBITDA rose 30% year-on-year to ₹233 crore from ₹180 crore. EBITDA margin remained flat at 14% compared with the corresponding quarter last year.
The company has recommended a final dividend at the rate of 12.5% of paid-up share capital, amounting to ₹1.25 per share, for the financial year 2025–26. This final dividend is in addition to the interim dividends of ₹2 per share already paid by the company during the same financial year.
Shares of Railtel Corporation of India Ltd ended at ₹323.90, up by ₹1.95, or 0.61%, on the BSE.
