Benchmark crude prices extended recent declines, with Brent crude trading near USD 78.9 per barrel, down around 1.1 per cent on the day, after ending the previous session slightly higher. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude hovered at USD 75.40, slipping 0.59 per cent, while Brent futures were last seen at USD 79.20, down 0.81 per cent.
