EPFO to halt online claim services for three days; Umang access not available till July 2

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced a temporary suspension of its online claim submission and processing services as it undertakes a planned technology upgrade and database consolidation exercise.

According to a notice issued by the retirement fund body, submission and processing of claims through its portal will remain unavailable from 00:00 hrs on June 26, until 23:59 hrs on June 28. Services are scheduled to resume from 00:00 hrs on June 29.

The EPFO said the shutdown is part of a planned migration aimed at enhancing service delivery, improving processing efficiency and providing a better user experience through upgraded software applications and database systems.

During the maintenance period, members will not be able to submit fresh claim requests online, while claim processing services will also remain unavailable. Claims submitted before the migration window will be processed only after services are restored.

In a separate notice, the EPFO said its services on the Umang app will remain unavailable until July 2, 2026, owing to scheduled maintenance.

The temporary disruption will affect several services available through Umang, including PF balance checks, claim filing, claim status tracking, UAN-related services, grievance registration, establishment search and applications for scheme certificates and Jeevan Pramaan certificates.

The EPFO said the upgrade is intended to strengthen its claims processing system and improve the overall experience for subscribers using its digital platforms.
