Millie Bobby Brown quite literally grew up in front of the world as she starred for the first time in ‘Stranger Things’ at the mere age of 11 years old. The actress recently sat down for an interview, talking about how the entire situation affected her, to the point where she even had to miss out on a lot of normal school activities and memories.

Brown recently opened up about growing up in the limelight with constant attention on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast. The ‘Enola Holmes’ star revealed quite candidly that she never had a lot of the milestones that people usually experience as children, and that has affected her a lot.Talking about this, she mentioned having a hard time socialising with people. She also shared, “I just don’t know how to react sometimes to people my own age.” She shared during the interview that most of her conversations on set were about work, and that she was surrounded by 40-year-old men and other crew members all the time, which has influenced the way she interacts with others.“And so I heard a lot of adult talk growing up; I didn’t really talk about the things you’re meant to talk about as a kid. Because you hear ‘Where’s the grip? Let’s grab a ladder,’ you know? And so that’s your whole conversation,” she added. She also revealed that most of her experience in conversations comes from talking about topics related to work, and she has a hard time bonding and talking about normal things like restaurants or bars.

The ‘Damsel’ actress also fondly talked about her beau, Jake Bongiovi, and how he is one of the reasons her social skills are slowly improving. Calling him a “social butterfly”, she added that he is the “complete opposite” of her. Adding more context, she shared, “You know, he went to boarding school and college so he is like a social butterfly. When I met him, I really tried to lean more into that. So, I’m in my social era.“
