Greaves Cotton sets up Dubai unit to expand business in West Asia and Africa


Greaves Cotton Ltd. has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary in Dubai as it steps up efforts to expand its international business and strengthen its presence across the West Asia and Africa.

The new entity, Greaves International Trading FZE (GITFZE), will act as a regional hub for trading and distribution, helping the company engage more closely with customers and partners in high-growth markets.

The subsidiary will support business development, customer engagement, technical support, channel partnerships, aftermarket services and supply chain coordination. It will offer Greaves Cotton’s portfolio of diesel engines, gensets and powertrain solutions across its Energy, Mobility and Industrial Solutions businesses.

Managing Director and Group CEO Parag Satpute said international business is a key growth driver for the company, with its contribution to revenue increasing from 9% in FY25 to 13% in FY26. He said the Dubai unit will help Greaves respond faster to market demand, strengthen customer relationships and support long-term growth.

Initially, GITFZE will focus on GCC markets including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain, with plans to expand into the Levant region and Africa. The company said the subsidiary will also help build an integrated international trading and distribution ecosystem.

In the January-March quarter (Q4FY26), Greaves Cotton reported consolidated revenues of ₹1,000 crore, margins at 6.8% and net profit of ₹22.5 crore.

Shares of Greaves Cotton Ltd. ended 4.98% higher at ₹220 on the NSE on Tuesday.
