TNEA rank list 2026: The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) rank list is expected to be released today, July 1, 2026. The rank list, which was initially scheduled to be published on June 29 will now be released on July 1, 2026. It will follow the incorporation of revised marks from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) re-evaluation process. The decision is expected to ensure that candidates whose CBSE scores changed after re-evaluation are not disadvantaged during the preparation of the state-wide engineering merit list.According to reports, Higher Education Minister P. Viswanathan announced that the publication of the TNEA 2026 rank list has been deferred to July 1.The delay occurs following the announcement of the results of re-evaluation conducted by the CBSE on June 21. It has been decided to change the procedure for preparing the merit list such that those candidates who got changed marks due to re-evaluation are properly accommodated in the final rank list.The merit list for TNEA 2026 shall be based on the score out of 200 marks. In order to prepare the list for TNEA admission, marks of the candidates in their qualifying examinations shall be standardized and reduced to a total score of 200 marks.The list shall determine the position of the candidates in the counseling and seat allotment process for the engineering admissions in Tamil Nadu.
