Dr Trump? US President shares AI video prescribing treatment for 'TDS' to critics

The AI-generated video shows Trump in a white lab coat introducing himself as “Dr. Trump” before prescribing a tongue-in-cheek “treatment” for TDS.

US President Donald Trump has shared another AI-generated video on social media, this time portraying himself as a doctor offering a cure for what he calls “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (TDS), a term he frequently uses to mock his political opponents and critics. In a post on Truth Social, Trump shared the 90-second clip between two White House videos promoting his administration’s achievements and showcasing the new Air Force One jet acquired from Qatar. The AI-generated video shows Trump in a white lab coat introducing himself as “Dr. Trump” before prescribing a tongue-in-cheek “treatment” for TDS.The video opens with Trump saying: “Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with TDS? The symptoms can be relentless. Fortunately, I’m Dr. Trump and I have a treatment plan. Let’s hear what some of my patients have to say.”It then features AI-generated versions of several of Trump’s well-known critics, including television personalities Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O’Donnell, and actors Robert De Niro, Julia Roberts, Edward Norton and John Leguizamo, appearing to praise the fictional treatment. One of the AI-generated “patients” says: “I have been suffering for over a decade. And after listening to Dr. Trump, I can see some results. Man, I’ve been suffering for years.”The clip ends with the AI-generated Trump delivering his prescription: “The treatment is simple. Turn off. Fake news. Say your prayers. And if you ever feel anxious, just have a Diet Coke like me and you’re going to see a remarkable difference in your life.”The latest post adds to a growing list of AI-generated content shared by the president in recent months. Several of those posts have sparked controversy, including an AI image depicting Trump as Jesus Christ during his public disagreement with Pope Leo XIV. After criticism, that image was removed, although Trump later shared another AI-generated image showing himself being embraced by Jesus in front of an American flag.
