The extension was granted after several Ministries, Departments and Union Territories informed the Commission that they were unable to complete the data submission process within the earlier timeline.
In a letter addressed to nodal officers of Ministries, Departments and Union Territories, the Commission directed all concerned authorities to ensure that the required information is uploaded through the online portal within the revised deadline.
The Commission also clarified that submissions made through physical copies, emails, Excel sheets, PDF files or any mode other than the designated Data Collection Portal will not be accepted.
The data collection exercise is part of the 8th Pay Commission’s ongoing consultations and assessment process ahead of its recommendations on pay, allowances and pension structures for central government employees and pensioners.
The 8th Pay Commission is currently engaging with stakeholders across the country and is expected to submit its final report by mid-2027.
In a separte development, Government of India’s Eighth Central Pay Commission (8th CPC) will visit Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on July 6 and 7, as part of its nationwide consultations with stakeholders on salary, pension and service-related reforms for central government employees and pensioners.
In an official notice issued by the Ministry of Finance, the Commission invited central government organisations, institutions, associations and unions interested in interacting with the panel during the Bhubaneswar visit to seek appointments online.
