To improve his horse-riding skills for ‘Baahubali,’ the filmmaker wanted the actor to keep a horse at his own house so he could practise every day.

Speaking about the intense preparation with Hindustan Times, Prabhas said, “I would miss a horse-riding session and then blame it on the weather. He insisted that I take it seriously and even asked me to keep a horse at home.” The actor admitted he could not believe what he had heard and replied, “Keep a horse at home? Are you serious?” Prabhas then recalled, “I had these ducks at my guest house. He told me that horses were the real deal and asked me to go horse riding every day. I said, ‘Now I have to raise a horse for your film!'” His comments showed how Rajamouli wanted him to become completely comfortable riding horses before the cameras started rolling.

Prabhas underwent a gruelling training schedule, of which horse riding was just one part. SS Rajamouli also made sure that the actor learnt sword fighting, rock climbing, and many physical skills to make every action sequence look convincing.
