In the exchange filing, Bharti Airtel said that the Rs 24 dividend will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the depository records as at close of business hours on Friday, July 24.
As Friday, July 24, 2026 is the record date for the dividend payout, investors have to buy Airtel shares by Thursday, July 23.
According ti Sebi’s T+1 settlement cycle, investors need to buy a company’s shares at least one trading day before the record date to ensure the shares are credited to their demat accounts in time, and they become eligible for the corporate action.
This means, July 23 is the last date for interested investors to buy Bharti Airtel’s shares so that they are credited to their accounts by July 24, making them eligible for the dividend payout.
Before Rs 24 dividend announcement in May, Airtel paid a dividend of Rs 16 in July. In 2025, the company paid a dividend of Rs 16 while in 2024, Bharti Airtel paid Rs 8 and in 2023, it paid Rs 4, respectively.
