Bengaluru shocker: Flipkart delivery executive arrested for sexually harassing woman inside her flat | Bengaluru News

BENGALURU: A Flipkart delivery executive has been arrested after a woman alleged that he entered her flat without permission and sexually harassed her after asking to use her washroom, police said on Monday.The accused has been identified as Vijay Mallikarjun Kamath.According to Bengaluru police, a case was registered at Marathahalli Police Station based on a complaint filed by the woman. The case (No. 345/2026) has been registered under Sections 75, 79 and 329(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).In a statement, DCP Whitefield said the accused has been arrested and legal action has been initiated against him. Further investigation is underway.In a post on social media, the woman said the delivery executive arrived at her home to deliver a parcel before asking if he could use her washroom.She alleged that she repeatedly refused his request, telling him she did not allow strangers into her home. She said she also suggested that he ask her male neighbours for help, but claimed he ignored her objections, removed his slippers and walked into her flat without her consent.The woman further alleged that after coming out of the washroom, the delivery executive exposed himself to her.

She said the incident left her feeling shocked, violated and unsafe in her own home.She also said a clear refusal should have ended the interaction and that no one had the right to ignore someone’s boundaries or enter another person’s home without permission.Describing the moments that followed, the woman said she feared for her safety. She said she switched on her phone camera, kept the front door open and remained near the entrance because she was worried she might have to run outside and call for help if the situation escalated.Further investigation is underway.
