KEC International bags ₹1,180 crore orders across transmission, solar, civil and cables segments


RPG Group firm and global infrastructure major KEC International Ltd on Tuesday (July 14) said it has secured new orders worth ₹1,180 crore across its Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Renewables, Civil, and Cables & Conductors businesses.

The company secured its first transmission line order to power a data centre in India under its T&D business. The order includes a 400 kV transmission line project in Western India.

KEC International’s T&D business also received orders for the supply of transmission line towers in the Middle East and the supply of towers, hardware and poles in the Americas.

In the renewables segment, the company secured an order for a 200+ MW Solar PV project in Western India from an existing client, a renowned private developer.

The civil business received an order for additional civil and structural works for a 150 MW thermal power plant from a prominent private player in Eastern India.

The company also secured various orders in India and overseas markets under its Cables & Conductors business. KEC International said all the orders have been received in the normal course of business.

Vimal Kejriwal, MD and CEO, KEC International Ltd, said, “We are pleased with the new order wins across businesses. The T&D business has secured its first transmission line order for evacuation of power to a data centre from a reputed private developer.

This order marks an important milestone for the T&D business in supporting the power infrastructure needs of the growing Data Centre segment.

We have bolstered our Tower Supply business with a significant order from the Middle East. Our Renewables business continues to strengthen relations with existing clients as reflected in the award of the large solar project. With these orders, our YTD order intake stands at over Rs 5,200 crore.”

Shares of KEC International Ltd ended at ₹489.90, down by ₹6.00, or 1.21%, on the BSE.
