Hero MotoCorp's VIDA enters Nepal, marking first international expansion of EV brand


Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand VIDA has entered Nepal, marking its first international market and the beginning of its global operations through a distributor partnership with CG Motors, part of Nepal’s Chaudhary Group, the company announced.

As part of its entry into Nepal, VIDA will offer the VX2 EVOOTER range and the DIRT.E K3 youth off-roader. The company said the products are aimed at meeting the diverse lifestyle requirements of the Nepalese market, with the VX2 EVOOTER range designed for everyday commuters and the DIRT.E K3 offering an all-electric off-road experience tailored specifically for younger riders.

The expansion marks the start of VIDA’s global operations through a distributor partnership with CG Motors. According to the company, Chaudhary Group currently operates a network of more than 160 companies and 123 brands worldwide.

The VIDA VX2 EVOOTER range comprises two variants: the VX2 Plus and VX2 Go. The VX2 Plus features an 18-degree gradeability and a 4.4 kWh setup comprising dual 2.2 kWh removable battery units. According to the company, it offers a claimed real-world range of 140 km, a top speed of 90 km/h, 0–40 km/h acceleration in 3.1 seconds, and DC fast charging from 0% to 80% in 65 minutes.

The VX2 Go comes with a 2.2 kWh removable battery and offers a claimed real-world range of 75 km, a top speed of 70 km/h, 0–40 km/h acceleration in 4.2 seconds, and DC fast charging from 0% to 80% in 65 minutes. Both variants feature removable batteries that can be charged using a standard 5A socket and include the My VIDA app, navigation, geo-fencing, call/SMS alerts and over-the-air (OTA) updates.

The VIDA DIRT.E K3 is designed for young riders and features a three-size adaptive system, app-based parental controls, three speed modes, a 350W motor and a removable 360Wh battery. According to the company, it offers up to three hours of riding time depending on terrain and mode, charges from 20% to 80% in approximately two hours, and has received the Red Dot Design Award 2025 and the CES Innovation Award 2026.

Hero MotoCorp said it has been present in Nepal since 2014 and that the launch of the VIDA electric range marks “an exciting new chapter” dedicated to delivering “smart, sustainable, and future-ready electric mobility” to Nepal.
