IEX Market Coupling Case: The Supreme Court on Monday declined to pass any interim order on the Indian Energy Exchange’s (IEX) plea challenging the proposed implementation of market coupling in the power sector.
The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) informed the apex court that it would issue the market coupling norms shortly.
IEX had approached the court opposing the move, arguing against the proposed framework.The matter remains under judicial consideration, with the regulatory framework still awaited. No further interim directions were issued by the court at this stage.
