The board has also approved the re-designation of Gaurav Negi, the current Chief Financial Officer, as Advisor to the Managing Director. The transition will take effect after the close of business on July 27.

Thadimarri, who currently serves as Deputy Chief Financial Officer, will assume the role of CFO and Key Managerial Personnel from July 28.

A Chartered Accountant, Thadimarri brings more than 24 years of experience across finance, including controllership, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), business finance, treasury, capital raising, audit, taxation and investor relations.

He has been associated with InterGlobe Aviation in a senior finance role and has previously held leadership positions at Udaan, Genworks Health, where he served as Co-founder and CFO, and General Electric Company, where he spent more than 13 years across various finance functions.

The company said the appointments were approved by its Board of Directors at a meeting held on July 27 and disclosed under SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations.

Separately, InterGlobe Aviation said it has received an order from the Principal Commissioner of Customs, New Delhi, confirming a revised classification of certain imported goods and raising a customs duty demand along with interest and penalty.

The company said the order, received on July 27, pertains to the period from April 2020 to March 2024. The adjudicating authority has passed an order confirming the demand based on the revised classification of goods.

According to the disclosure, the order involves a penalty of ₹1,14,17,541, along with a demand for customs duty, interest and penalty.

The company added that it will contest the order before the appropriate appellate authority and pursue legal remedies.

The airline also said the order is not expected to have any significant impact on its financials, operations or other business activities.

Shares of InterGlobe Aviation rose 5.12% to close at ₹5,240 on the NSE on Monday.
