Indian stock markets ended sharply higher on Wednesday (July 29), with the benchmark indices, the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, rallying more than 1 per cent amid buying in blue-chip stocks such as HDFC Bank, Larsen & Toubro, and Infosys, along with fresh foreign fund inflows.
