Tata Steel Q1 FY27 results: Tata Steel reported a steady performance for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, with higher revenue and improved operating profitability supporting a double-digit growth in net profit. The steelmaker posted a 12 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 2,318 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, compared with Rs 2,077 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The Tata Group company’s revenue from operations increased 14 per cent YoY to Rs 60,794 crore in Q1 FY27, up from Rs 53,178 crore posted in Q1 FY26.
Profit before tax (PBT) stood at Rs 4,086 crore, compared with Rs 3,119 crore a year ago, reflecting stronger operating performance.
The company’s EBITDA surged 24.7 per cent YoY to come in at Rs 9,263 crore during the June quarter, against Rs 7,427 crore in the year-ago quarter. EBITDA margin expanded by 130 basis points to 15.2 per cent, from 14 per cent in Q1 FY26.
Depreciation for the quarter rose to Rs 3,639 crore from Rs 2,744 crore a year earlier, while finance costs declined to Rs 1,770 crore from Rs 1,852 crore. Other income stood at Rs 232 crore, compared with Rs 288 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
