Maruti Suzuki Q1 FY27 results: Maruti Suzuki India reported a mixed performance for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, with healthy revenue growth offset by weaker profitability due to margin pressures.

The country’s largest carmaker’s standalone net profit declined 10 per cent on a year-on-year basis to Rs 3,352 crore in the reporting quarter, compared with Rs 3,712 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. Profit also fell 7 per cent quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) from Rs 3,590.5 crore.

The company’s revenue from operations, however, stood at Rs 52,456 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, marking a 37 per cent YoY increase from Rs 38,414 crore in the corresponding period last year. On a sequential basis, revenue remained largely flat compared with Rs 52,449 crore reported in the January-March quarter.

Operating performance remained under pressure with EBITDA rising 8% YoY to come in at Rs 4,311 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 3,995.3 crore in the year-ago, but declined 30 per cent sequentially from Rs 6,156.9 crore in the previous quarter.

The company’s EBITDA margin contracted to 8.2 per cent, down from 10.4 per cent in the year-ago period and 11.7 per cent in the March quarter. This represents 220 basis points YoY decline and 350 basis points QoQ, indicating pressure on operating profitability despite strong topline growth.
