Speaking to the media in New Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the registration portal for the scheme will open on August 1. She said women between 21 and 60 years of age, with an annual family income of up to ₹2.5 lakh, will be eligible to apply.
The scheme aims to provide direct financial support to eligible women in the national capital. Applications are now being accepted through the dedicated portal, with the first instalment expected to be released around Raksha Bandhan after verification.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Must be a woman aged 21 to 60 years.
- Must be a resident of Delhi for at least 10 years.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- Only one woman per family can avail the benefit.
- The applicant and her family should not have a criminal record.
- Income-tax payers are not eligible.
- Women with more than three children are excluded from the scheme.

Applicants should keep the following documents ready before starting the application:
- Aadhaar card
- Proof of residency
- Income certificate
- Bank account details
- Mobile number linked with Aadhaar
- Passport-size photograph (if required by the portal)

Step 3: Log in to the portal and complete the eligibility verification by answering the required questions.
Step 4: Fill in personal details.
Step 5: Enter the required details of your family members and provide your bank account information for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Step 6: Upload all the required documents in the prescribed format, including the signed MP/MLA endorsement letter, where applicable.Step 7: Preview the completed application carefully, verify all the information and submit the form online.
Step 8: Download and save the acknowledgement receipt. You can later track your application status on the portal using your registered mobile number.

After an application is submitted, the government will verify the applicant’s eligibility and documents.
Eligible beneficiaries will receive ₹2,500 per month through direct transfer to their registered bank accounts. The Delhi government has indicated that the first instalment is expected to be credited after the verification process is completed.
