The country’s largest carmaker sold 2,41,421 units during the month, compared with 1,80,526 units in July 2025.
Domestic sales, including light commercial vehicles (LCVs), reached an all-time high of 2,00,123 units, up from 1,40,570 units a year earlier. Sales to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) stood at 11,242 units, while exports declined to 30,056 units from 31,745 units in July last year.
Domestic passenger vehicle sales rose to 1,96,203 units from 1,37,776 units in the corresponding month last year.
Among segments, passenger car sales increased 42.4% year-on-year to 1,03,456 units, led by strong demand for models such as the Baleno, Swift, Dzire and WagonR. Utility vehicle sales climbed 49.4% to 78,851 units from 52,773 units a year earlier, while Eeco van sales rose 12.6% to 13,896 units.
Sales of the Super Carry light commercial vehicle increased 40.3% to 3,920 units from 2,794 units in July 2025.
For the April-July period of FY27, Maruti Suzuki’s total sales rose to 9,24,145 units from 7,08,387 units in the year-ago period, supported by healthy growth in domestic passenger vehicle sales.
