Indo-MIM makes stellar Dalal Street debut with 44% listing premium


Shares of Indo-MIM made a stellar debut on the stock exchanges on Thursday, July 30, listing at a sharp premium over their issue price after receiving strong investor demand during the IPO.

The stock debuted at ₹700 on the NSE, a 44.3% premium to its issue price of ₹485. Simultaneously, on the BSE. it listed at ₹703, a premium of 45%.

Ahead of the listing, shares of Indo-MIM were commanding a grey market premium (GMP) of around ₹187, indicating an expected listing gain of nearly 39%.

Market experts had mixed views on the stock’s post-listing strategy. Shivani Nyati, Head of Wealth at Swastika Investmart, advised allottees to consider booking partial profits following the strong listing. Meanwhile, Mahesh M Ojha, Vice President of Research at Kantilal Chhaganlal Securities, recommended investors hold the stock for the long term, citing the company’s scalable growth prospects.

Investor appetite for the IPO was robust. The issue was subscribed 72.34 times overall, led by Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs), whose portion was booked 204.34 times. The Non-Institutional Investor (NII) category was subscribed 50.63 times, while the Retail Individual Investor (RII) segment received 6.67 times subscription.

The company had fixed the IPO price band at ₹461-486 per share. The public issue comprised a fresh issue of ₹500 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) worth ₹3,311.2 crore by existing shareholders and promoters, including Green Meadows Investments, Anuradha Koduri and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

Prior to the IPO opening, Indo-MIM raised ₹1,141 crore from anchor investors. A total of 92 anchor investors participated, including domestic mutual funds such as ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, SBI Mutual Fund and Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, along with global investors including Goldman Sachs, BlackRock Global Funds and Societe Generale.

The company intends to utilise ₹400 crore from the fresh issue proceeds to reduce debt, with the remaining amount earmarked for general corporate purposes. As of May 2026, Indo-MIM’s consolidated borrowings stood at ₹1,212.3 crore.

Founded in 1996, Indo-MIM is a global manufacturer of precision engineering components using Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) technology.

The company has delivered strong financial growth in recent years. For FY26, net profit rose 25.9% to ₹533.5 crore, while revenue increased by 25.9% to ₹4,193 crore. Total income climbed 28.1% year-on-year to ₹4,320.7 crore.
