Tata Motors CV July sales: Domestic sales rise 28%, exports more than double


Tata Motors reported a 28% year-on-year increase in domestic commercial vehicle sales to 33,876 units in July 2026, compared with 26,432 units in the same month last year, while total sales, including exports, rose 37% to 39,641 units.

The company’s international business recorded sales of 5,765 units during the month, up from 2,524 units a year earlier, representing a 128% increase. Combined domestic and international sales stood at 39,641 units against 28,956 units in July 2025.

Growth across vehicle segments

Among individual categories, sales of heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) trucks rose 33% year-on-year to 8,973 units from 6,735 units. Intermediate, light and medium commercial vehicle (ILMCV) truck sales increased 20% to 6,100 units from 5,068 units.

Passenger carrier sales grew 25% to 5,938 units, compared with 4,749 units in July last year, while sales of small commercial vehicle (SCV) cargo and pickup models climbed 30% to 12,865 units from 9,880 units.

The company also said domestic sales of medium and heavy intermediate commercial vehicles (MH&ICV) stood at 15,435 units in July, up from 12,378 units in the corresponding month of 2025, an increase of 25%.

Including exports, MH&ICV sales totalled 16,364 units during the month, compared with 13,669 units a year earlier, reflecting growth of 20%.
