Actor Suriya shared his thoughts on love, marriage and mutual respect during the audio launch of ‘Vishwanath And Sons’. The event was held ahead of the film’s theatrical release on August 14.Directed by Venky Atluri, the family drama features Suriya in the lead role alongside Mamitha Baiju. During the interaction, the actor opened up about the importance of nurturing relationships and respecting one’s partner.
Suriya says love should continue every day
Speaking about relationships, Suriya said love should not be viewed as something that begins and ends with marriage. Instead, he stressed that affection and care should be expressed consistently throughout life.“I think love should be everlasting. It is not something that should be felt when you tie the knot, but you should love every single day. Even if you spend 20 years with someone you should love. You should keep on loving your partner. You should always be respectful,” said Suriya, as quoted by Cinema Express.He also noted that people naturally change as they grow older. Suriya added, “Everybody changes, we do and so will our partner. Your priorities are different at the age of 20, 25, or 30. Your thinking might change, you life can take any direction. But the love and affection you have for your partner should never change.”
Suriya on the importance of respecting women
Suriya also used the occasion to speak about the role women play in families and society. He said women often make significant sacrifices throughout their lives.Suriya added, “And also, about respect. The miles that a woman has to brave to reach a place is far greater than what a man has to cross. A lot of compromise is made by women, like looking after a house or giving birth. Always show your respect for their sacrifices. Stand with that respect as much as you can. Show a lot more respect than love.”
Mamitha Baiju opens up about working with Suriya
Co-star Mamitha Baiju also spoke during the audio launch. She expressed her happiness about finally getting the opportunity to act alongside Suriya. The actress revealed that she had admired him since watching Ghajini and described him as one of her childhood favourites.The ‘Jana Nayagan’ actor said, “I missed a big opportunity to work with him before, but by God’s blessing I landed this film. It was such a pleasure to be working with him. I particularly admire the way he approaches a scene. He is an inspiration and is a gentleman. I feel fortunate for this opportunity.”
