The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has shared a step-by-step guide to help beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM VBRY) enable Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) by linking their Aadhaar with their bank account.
According to EPFO, all eligible PM VBRY beneficiaries, as well as those covered under other government schemes using DBT, must ensure their bank accounts are Aadhaar-linked. Without Aadhaar seeding, incentive payments cannot be credited directly to the beneficiary’s account.
In a post on X, EPFO said, “Are you a beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana? Learn how to get your Bank Account DBT enabled so that incentives are credited directly to your bank account.”

How to enable DBT online
EPFO said beneficiaries can complete Aadhaar seeding through the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) portal by following these steps:
- Visit the official NPCI website.
- Go to the Customer section and select Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler.
- Click on Aadhaar Seeding.
- Enter your Aadhaar number.
- Select Seeding under Request for Aadhaar.
- Choose your bank.
- Enter and confirm your bank account number.
- Tick the consent box, complete the captcha and submit the request.
EPFO said the updated Aadhaar seeding status is generally reflected in its records after a few working days. If the online process fails, beneficiaries should retry the process or contact their bank branch.
Offline Aadhaar seeding
Beneficiaries can also complete Aadhaar seeding offline by visiting their nearest bank branch with their original documents and Aadhaar card.
They need to fill and submit the Aadhaar seeding consent form, following which the bank will verify the documents and update the NPCI mapper. The updated status will be reflected in EPFO records after a few working days.
