Revenue from operations increased 23% year-on-year to ₹3,185 crore from ₹2,590 crore in Q1 FY26, driven by broad-based demand across the wires and cables segment and balanced business performance. Revenue was below the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹3,283 crore.
The company’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) rose 53.4% to ₹396 crore from ₹258 crore in the year-ago quarter, supported by better operating efficiency and product mix. EBITDA was above the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹357 crore.

EBITDA margin improved to 12% from 10% in the corresponding period last year. The margin was also higher than the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of 10.9%. EBITDA margin expanded by around 155 basis points.
The domestic wires and cables segment reported 29.31% year-on-year growth during the quarter, led by sustained demand and operational improvements.
Export sales of wires and cables declined 7.29% year-on-year in Q1 FY27. The company said the export business is expected to grow due to a strong order book position and improving demand in key overseas markets.

Extra high voltage (EHV) cable sales increased to ₹186 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹126 crore in Q1 FY26, registering a growth of 47.74% year-on-year. Total wires and cables sales, including exports, stood at ₹3,092 crore, contributing 97.08% of total sales in Q1 FY27 compared with 95.96% in Q1 FY26.
Sales through dealers and distributors grew 41.98% year-on-year and contributed 59.09% of overall sales in Q1 FY27, compared with 51.18% in the previous year. The company had 2,128 active working dealers as of June 30, 2026.
During Q1 FY27, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) sales, excluding cables, contributed 1.36% of total sales. Export sales of EPC stood at ₹4 crore during the quarter compared with ₹14 crore in the year-ago period.
Stainless steel wire sales contributed 1.66% during the quarter. Export sales of stainless steel wire stood at ₹28 crore, compared with ₹27 crore in the previous year. KEI Industries reported pending orders of approximately ₹4,292 crore.

On a standalone basis, financial charges stood at ₹17.68 crore in Q1 FY27 compared with ₹14.50 crore in the same period last year. Financial charges as a percentage of net sales remained largely stable at 0.55% compared with 0.56%.
Net sales stood at ₹3,185.34 crore in Q1 FY27 compared with ₹2,590.32 crore in Q1 FY26. EBITDA increased to ₹415.41 crore from ₹297.63 crore, while PAT rose to ₹274.14 crore from ₹195.75 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Shares of KEI Industries Ltd ended at ₹5,010.00, up by ₹11.70, or 0.23%, on the BSE.
