Suneil Anand, the prolific Indian actor and the son of legends Dev Anand and Kalpana Kartik, passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest while travelling to London, and subsequently succumbing to a second heart attack during treatment on July 26, 2026. His funeral is scheduled today, August 4, 2026, in the UK capital at 1:30 pm local time. The cremation ground is Putney Vale, the place where Dev Anand’s last rites took place in 2011.Suneil Anand’s mother, Kalpana Kartik, is unwell at the age of 94. She is being looked after by her daughter, Devina, and they could not fly to London to bid farewell. However, Dev Anand’s niece Gina Narang and her husband have stepped up to conduct the last rites, according to the report by Vickey Lalwani.

Suneil Anand passed away at the age of 70

Suneil Anand, who worked with his father in ‘Anand Aur Anand’ in 1984, took his last breath at the age of 70. “We are comforted by the outpouring of love, prayers, and support, for which we are truly grateful. We kindly request privacy as we navigate this difficult time together,” Gina Narang said in a statement, per ANI. Many well-wishers shared their condolences on social media.Raj Babbar, who worked closely with Suneil Anand, shared a heartfelt message. “Suneil didn’t seem ambitious. But he was extremely sincere towards his work. He was also very respectful towards senior actors,” he recalled.
