Rolex Rings shares gain after Q1 net profit rises, margins expand from last year


Shares of Rolex Rings surged on Thursday, August 5, after the company reported its first quarter results.

The company reported a positive set of earnings across all key parameters.

Net profit for the June quarter came in at ₹60 crore, up 22.5% from the previous year’s figure of ₹49 crore.

Revenue increased by 4.4% for the June quarter to ₹304.3 crore from ₹291.5 crore last fiscal.

The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased 11.7% to ₹68.7 crore from ₹61.5 crore last year.

EBITDA margin expanded to 22.5% from 22.1% in the year-ago period.

In the previous quarter, Rolex Rings had reported a net loss of ₹0.15 crore compared to a profit of ₹54.64 crore in the prior year. The same was due to the exceptional RoR charge.

Its revenue in the March quarter had risen 8% to ₹305.69 crore from ₹283.89 crore in the previous year, while its EBITDA was up 8% as well at ₹56.23 crore from ₹52.22 crore.

Its margins in the fourth quarter were unchanged at 18.4% from the year-ago period.

Shares of Rolex Rings are trading 4.3% higher, having cooled off from post-earnings high at ₹147.48. The stock is up 15% so far this year.
