Consolidated revenue from operations declined 9% year-on-year to ₹993.4 crore, compared with ₹1,091.3 crore a year earlier. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) fell 41.7% to ₹104.66 crore from ₹179.4 crore in the year-ago quarter. EBITDA margin narrowed to 10.54% from 16.44%.
On a standalone basis, the engineering and construction (E&C) business reported turnover of ₹981.7 crore, compared with ₹1,069 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Standalone net profit stood at ₹37.1 crore, compared with ₹38.6 crore a year earlier, while EBITDA margin was 10.7%, down from 14.9%.

During the quarter, HCC secured a new order worth ₹125 crore and emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for projects valued at about ₹2,124 crore, with HCC’s share at around ₹1,671 crore. The company said bids worth approximately ₹9,997 crore remain under evaluation.
Execution continued across HCC’s project portfolio during the quarter. The company achieved breakthrough of Head Race Tunnel (HRT) Faces 2 and 3 for the 520 megawatt (MW) Tapovan Vishnugad Hydroelectric Project.
At the 1,000 MW Vishnugad Pipalkoti Hydroelectric Project, the machine hall for Units 1 and 2 was handed over, while HRT excavation reached 85%. Earthworks and steel liner fabrication also progressed at the Bhivpuri Pumped Storage Project.

In the metro and transport segment, tunnel boring machine (TBM) deployment commenced at the Indore Metro project alongside piling, station excavation and launch preparations. At the Patna Metro project, casting yard development, guide wall works and segment casting progressed, while TBM deliveries are scheduled later this year. Piling, pier and segment casting also advanced on the Agardanda Creek Bridge project.
In the industrial segment, Hindalco’s Aditya Aluminium Smelter expansion project received approval for the first pot shell prototype, enabling bulk fabrication to begin.
In the nuclear segment, HCC continued execution of the Fast Reactor Fuel Cycle Facility and recently completed the delivery of the Rajasthan Atomic Power Project Units 7 and 8.

Shares of Hindustan Construction Company Ltd ended at ₹21.57, down by ₹0.36, or 1.64%, on the BSE.
