Thalapathy Vijay‘s ‘Jana Nayagan’ continued its theatrical run with another decline in collections on Day 15.The action entertainer has already crossed the Rs 300 crore mark at the worldwide box office, but its daily earnings are now witnessing a steady slowdown.According to Sacnilk, the film collected an estimated Rs 1.60 crore India net on its third Thursday, reflecting a 20 percent drop from the Rs 2 crore it earned on Day 14. The film registered its Day 15 collections from 3,901 shows across India.
India and overseas totals continue to grow
‘Jana Nayagan’ has taken its total India net collection to Rs 185.15 crore. The film’s India gross now stands at Rs 215.87 crore.The film earned another Rs 30 lakhs internationally on Day 15, pushing its overseas gross collection to Rs 92.80 crore. As a result, the worldwide gross collection has climbed to Rs 308.67 crore.The film had concluded its opening week with a strong India net total of Rs 153.55 crore. During its second week, it added Rs 31.60 crore. Collections have gradually slowed since then, with Day 14 bringing in Rs 2 crore before falling to Rs 1.60 crore on Day 15.The Tamil version continued to dominate the film’s overall earnings. It contributed Rs 1.38 crore on Day 15 and remained far ahead of the dubbed versions.The Hindi version collected Rs 20 lakhs, while the Telugu version added Rs 2 lakhs during the day. The Tamil version recorded an overall occupancy of 15.25 percent. Evening shows witnessed the highest footfall at 17 percent, while morning, afternoon and night shows remained below that level.The Hindi version reported an overall occupancy of 11.90 percent. Night shows performed slightly better than the other time slots.
Tamil Nadu leads state-wise collections
Tamil Nadu once again emerged as the film’s strongest market on Day 15. The state contributed Rs 1.40 crore gross.Karnataka added Rs 10 lakhs, while Kerala contributed Rs 12 lakhs. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together brought in Rs 3 lakhs. The rest of India generated Rs 19 lakhs, taking the film’s total India gross for the day to Rs 1.84 crore.
