Godrej Consumer Q1 FY27 results: Profit up 11.5% YoY to Rs 504.5 crore; Rs 5 dividend announced


Godrej Consumer Dividend, Godrej Consumer Q1 FY27 results: Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) reported an 11.5 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in its consolidated net profit for the first quarter, with profit rising to Rs 504.5 crore from Rs 452.5 crore posted in the year-ago period.

The company’s consolidated revenue from operations reported a growth of 18.3 per cent YoY to Rs 4,225 crore, compared with Rs 3,571 crore in Q1 of the previous financial year.

EBITDA came in at Rs 801 crore, up 15.6 per cent YoY from Rs 693 crore a year earlier. However, EBITDA margin moderated to 19 per cent in Q1 FY27 from 19.4 per cent in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year.

Godrej Consumer Products Dividend announced: Rs 5 interim dividend

Along with the quarterly results, the Board of GCPL announced an interim dividend of Rs 5 per share.

Africa business leads growth

GCPL’s international businesses recorded strong growth during the quarter. Revenue from its Africa business jumped 47.1 per cent YoY to Rs 1,006 crore, compared with Rs 684 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue from the Indonesia business rose 15.4 per cent YoY to Rs 487 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 422 crore in the year-ago period.

The company’s India business revenue increased 11.4 per cent YoY to Rs 2,557 crore, compared with Rs 2,295 crore in Q1 last year.

Costs rise during quarter

The company’s cost of raw materials increased 16.8% YoY to ₹1,728 crore, compared with ₹1,480 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Meanwhile, advertising and publicity expenses rose 12.5% to ₹306 crore from ₹272 crore a year ago.

Despite the increase in operating costs, EBITDA growth remained strong at 15.6% during the quarter.
