Revenue increased 22.8% to ₹2,580.4 crore from ₹2,100.5 crore in the year-ago quarter. EBITDA grew 27.8% to ₹532.5 crore from ₹416.8 crore, while the EBITDA margin expanded to 20.6% from 19.8% a year earlier.
Profit before tax rose 35.3% year-on-year to ₹393.5 crore, while the effective tax rate stood at 25.7% during the quarter.
The domestic business grew 10.2% year-on-year to ₹1,095.3 crore, led by the company’s central nervous system (CNS), cardiology and women’s health portfolios, along with improved execution at Zuventus Healthcare.
International revenue rose 34.2% to ₹1,485.1 crore, driven by growth across Europe, Canada and the Rest of the World markets, aided by new product launches and favourable currency movements. International operations accounted for 57.6% of consolidated revenue during the quarter.
During the quarter, Europe revenue increased 32.8% to ₹536.7 crore, Canada grew 24.6% to ₹426.6 crore, while the Rest of the World business surged 44.8% to ₹521.8 crore. The company also invested ₹90.4 crore in research and development, equivalent to 3.5% of revenue, and ended the quarter with net debt of ₹1,102.6 crore.
Managing Director and CEO Satish Mehta said the company had started FY27, the second year of its five-year plan, on a strong footing, with momentum across geographies supporting growth.
He added that productivity gains and operating leverage helped improve profitability, while faster growth in profit reflected the strength of the company’s operating performance.Separately, the company said Chairman Berjis Desai will retire at the conclusion of the upcoming annual general meeting following his appointment to the National Commission for Minorities.
Managing Director and CEO Satish Mehta will assume the role of Chairman after the AGM, while Whole-time Director Samit Mehta has been appointed Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect.
Shares of Emcure Pharma are trading 1.3% lower on Thursday after the results announcement at ₹1,933.7. The stock is up 38% so far this year.
