The company has said that geopolitical uncertainties in West Asia could cause near-term fluctuations but they are confident of sustaining their year-on-year business growth outlook and see a recovery in margins during the second half of the financial year.
For the June quarter, Triveni Turbine reported a 19% growth in its topline to ₹442.7 crore from ₹371.3 crore last year.
Its Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter declined by 30% from last year to ₹51.3 crore from ₹73.6 crore in the year-ago period.
EBITDA margins for the company saw a sharp contraction to 11.6% from 19.8% last year. Net profit also fell by 20% year-on-year to ₹51.1 crore. Margins during the quarter were impacted by an unfavourable product mix, price escalation, and the delivery phasing of some strategic orders.
Order inflow at the end of the quarter stood at ₹5,683 crore, an increase of 6% from last year.
Nine analysts have coverage on Triveni Turbine, of which six have a “buy” rating, two say “hold”, and one has a “sell” rating on the stock. The consensus estimate of price targets imply an upside potential of 15% from current levels.Shares of Triveni Turbine are trading 5.5% lower on Tuesday at ₹602.8. The stock is still up 12% so far this year.
