D2C home cleaning brand Scrubsy has raised ₹27 crore (~$3 million) in a seed funding round led by V3 Ventures, as the company looks to scale up its foam-based kitchen, bathroom and footwear cleaning products.

The fundraise comes after Scrubsy, operated by BoldChem Science Pvt Ltd, recorded 100% year-on-year growth and acquired more than five lakh customers within eight months of its launch, according to a company media release. The company is now on track to cross ₹100 crore in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by FY28. Scrubsy has been bootstrapped and EBITDA-positive since its inception.

According to a report by IMARC Group, India’s household cleaners’ market was valued at $11.9 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow to nearly $39.8 billion by 2034, at a compound annual growth rate of around 14%, driven by rising hygiene awareness, rapid urbanisation and growing premiumisation in consumer spending. Despite this scale, the category remains dominated by legacy FMCG players, with little presence from digital-first challengers, unlike beauty, personal care and food, which have absorbed the bulk of India’s D2C market in recent years.

Founded by Kartik Sibal, Ishan Suri, Nitin Jain and Aditya Bhasin, who together bring more than 50 years of experience building e-commerce businesses, Scrubsy has built its business around in-house R&D, formulation and manufacturing rather than white labelling. The brand is among the first to bring pure foam-based cleaning formulations to Indian consumers.

“This investment is a strong validation of our belief that home care deserves the same level of product innovation that we have seen across beauty, food and personal care,” said Kartik Sibal, Co-founder and CEO, Scrubsy. “We own the entire process from formulation to manufacturing; we have been able to create solutions to ‘everyday’ cleaning challenges. This capital will enable us to accelerate product innovation, expand our manufacturing capabilities and reach many more households in India with Scrubsy.”

Arjun Vaidya, Co-founder, V3 Ventures, said, “Home cleaning always felt like a hard category for us to invest in, Scrubsy stood out because of the performance-first product and the team’s commitment to build everything in-house.”

Scrubsy plans to use the funding to expand into car cleaners, laundry care and other all-purpose home cleaning solutions.
