Ceigall India's ₹331 crore Delhi PWD tender cancelled over documentary consideration


Infrastructure company Ceigall India Ltd on Monday (August 17) said the Delhi government’s Public Works Department has cancelled a tender worth ₹330.84 crore, including GST, for strengthening and other works on various roads under the South Maintenance Zone during 2026-27.

The company had earlier informed exchanges on June 30, 2026, that it had emerged as the L1 bidder in the financial bid opening for the tender.

According to information available on the official e-tendering system of the Government of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi, and communicated to the company through an email dated August 17, the tender has now been cancelled.

The tender was issued by the Public Works Department, Delhi Government. The company said the tender was cancelled “in view of documentary consideration.” The cancellation notice was communicated through an email dated August 17, 2026.

The contract related to the strengthening and other works of various roads under the South Maintenance Zone, PWD, during 2026-27.

First Quarter Results

For Q1FY27, the Ludhiana-based company posted a consolidated net profit of ₹61 crore for the quarter ended June, up 15.5% from ₹53 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year.

When we look at the topline numbers, the revenue from operations rose 16% year-on-year. The revenue rose to ₹970 crore compared with ₹838 crore a year earlier.

The profitability also improved compared to last year. The Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation, or EBITDA, increased 32% to ₹143.8 crore from ₹108.9 crore in the year-ago period. Furthermore, margin expanded by nearly 200 basis points, moving up to 14.8% from the previous year’s 13%

Furthermore, the company also announced the Record Date of Final Dividend as Friday, September 11, 2026.

Previously, the company’s Board of Directors at their meeting held on May 7, 2026, had recommended a final dividend of ₹0.50 per equity share of the face value of ₹ 5/- each out of the profits of the Company for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, subject to the approval of the Shareholders at the ensuing AGM.

Shares of Ceigall India Ltd ended at ₹315.55, down by ₹3.35, or 1.05%, on the BSE.
