The veteran actor took to X to share her reaction to the Independence Day release, which is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. While the film has faced challenges at the box office, Hema’s review highlighted the message she believes is particularly relevant in the present times.

After watching ‘Batwara 1947’, Hema described the film as “Simply brilliant” and praised its focus on compassion rather than division.She wrote, “I watched the movie ‘Batwara’ yday. Simply brilliant with a clear message that conveys what the nation needs today. It reminds us that humanity, mutual respect, and harmony are far more important than hatred and division. I hope this beautiful message inspires people to change their mindset and choose kindness over hate.”The actor also complimented the film’s direction and performances, highlighting Sunny Deol and Shabana Azmi in particular.
