On Wednesday, August 19, the 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex lost 325.78 points or 0.42 per cent to close at 76,909.68. The NSE Nifty fell 76.60 points, or 0.32 per cent, to close at 24,078.30.
The Nifty Bank index, which tracks the movement top 12 listed banks of the country, closed 240.70 points or 0.42 per cent down at 57,446.25.
