Fed minutes reveal many officials said rate hikes may be needed; September hike in focus - Markets


The Fed kept the federal funds rate unchanged at 3.5%-3.75% in July, as widely expected. However, regional Fed Presidents Lorie Logan, Beth Hammack and Neel Kashkari voted for a 25-basis-point (bps) rate increase, highlighting growing divisions within the Committee.
