What happened to Tyreek Hill?

Tyreek Hill, 32, has remained unsigned since the Miami Dolphins released him in February as part of a major roster reset.

He is still recovering from a serious left knee injury suffered in Week 4 of the 2025 season against the New York Jets. Hill dislocated his knee and tore multiple ligaments, including his ACL and LCL. The injury ended his season after just four games.

What did his agent say?

Drew Rosenhaus appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and said Hill is making progress but is not ready to return.

“I don’t expect Tyreek to sign before the season,” Rosenhaus said on Friday. “He sent me a video yesterday, this is good timing, of him running hills and he looked great. I said to him, ‘you look great’ and he said to me, ‘I still have some work to do. I’m not ready yet.'”

Rosenhaus said he is not putting pressure on Hill or setting a deadline for his return.

“I think what I have said to Tyreek is take your time,” Rosenhaus added. “It’s not when you come back, it’s how you come back. We want you to come back when you feel your best. There’s no sense of urgency timing-wise, I think this is a future Hall of Famer who still has a lot of good football left in him. This was a devastating injury, but everyone’s gonna be so impressed when they see how well Tyreek is rehabbing.”

Rosenhaus believes Hill could still make a big impact later in the season, particularly for a team making a playoff push.

“It’s not hyperbole for me to predict that he will play this season, when I’m not sure,” Rosenhaus said. “But I do think when he does sign, he will be a coveted player. He’ll be the kind of guy that will impact the playoff race and will certainly be successful once he signs.”

Has Tyreek Hill talked about retirement?

Despite his injury and off-field issues, Hill has not indicated that he plans to retire.

In an interview with People in February, Hill said he was walking without a brace and remained focused on football and his family.

“My focus right now is just playing ball and spending time with my kids and just doing what I’m best at: providing for my family,” Hill said at the time. “So all the noise, I feel like if you allow that kind of stuff to get in the way of what you’re trying to do, it can only cloud what you’re really trying to get accomplished.”

In September last year, Hill was accused of several domestic violence-related incidents by his estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro.
