The pension fund management arm of Axis Asset Management Company (Axis AMC) said on Monday that it added its latest ₹10,000 crore in AUM between June 2025 and August 2026.
The company said the growth was driven by expanding distribution, increasing NPS adoption and rising customer and partner trust. Its reach has expanded across retail, affluent, corporate, government and institutional segments, supported by Axis Bank’s distribution network.
Axis Pension Fund has also introduced a technology-led Tatkal Onboarding Journey, allowing investors to open an NPS account in approximately 15-20 seconds. The initiative is aimed at making the account-opening process faster and more seamless.
The company is also leveraging initiatives including the Multiple Scheme Framework (MSF), NPS Swasthya and NPS Vatsalya to broaden pension coverage and cater to customers across segments.
“Crossing ₹20,000 crore in AUM is an important milestone for Axis Pension Fund and, more importantly, reflects the trust that our subscribers and partners continue to place in us,” said Sumit Shukla, Managing Director and CEO, Axis Pension Fund.
He said the rise in AUM demonstrates the momentum in the business and growing acceptance of NPS as a retirement solution.
“As we scale further, our focus will remain on making pension solutions simpler and more accessible, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, prudent investment management and customer security,” Shukla said.
Axis Pension Fund said it expects further growth in India’s pension market, supported by increasing awareness of retirement planning, deeper customer penetration and greater accessibility of pension products.
The company said it will continue to focus on technology-led customer experiences, strong governance and investment discipline as it expands its NPS business.
