Indian Stock Market Holidays 2026: Only 3 days for trading! D-Street to have shorter session this week - Here’s why - Markets


As stated above, both NSE and BSE will remain closed on Tuesday, March 31, due to Mahavir Jayanti. The National Stock Exchange of India and BSE have listed April 3 as an official trading holiday for Good Friday, and the weekend on Saturday and Sunday, April 4-5, as Indian stock markets (NSE and BSE) are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, operating strictly on a 5-day work week from Monday to Friday. Regular trading hours are 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM, and trading does not occur on weekends or exchange-declared holidays.
