Manipal Health mcap crosses ₹1 lakh crore; stock up 36% since listing


Manipal Health Enterprises’ market cap crossed ₹1 lakh crore on Friday, August 28.

It is now the second-largest hospital chain after Apollo Hospitals, in terms of market cap.

Manipal Health shares listed on the exchanges on August 5, 2026.

Its issue price was ₹590 per share. The market cap has risen from ₹77,607 crore at its issue price to over ₹1 lakh crore on Friday.

The stock has rallied 36% from its listing.

The company’s profit in the first quarter was at ₹243.43 crore, up 31% sequentially but down 4.2% from the previous year.

Its revenue of ₹3,090.63 crore was up 7% from the previous quarter and up 38.1% from the previous fiscal.

The company’s earnings before interest tax depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) also increased 7% sequentially to ₹736.61 crore and was up 25.6% from the previous year’s ₹586.58 crore.Its margins contracted to 23.8% in the first quarter from 24% in the previous one and from 26.2% in the year-ago period.

The company’s operating margin, excluding Sahyadri, was at 25%.

Manipal Health’s inpatient volumes increased 39%, outpatient volumes were up 26% and occupancy was at 65%.

The stock was trading 0.2% up at ₹799 apiece at 11.30 am on Friday.
