HDFC Bank shares have declined in seven of the last nine months, with the stock falling 5.2% in August, following a deeper 6.2% decline in July.

Trading volumes at the HDFC Bank counter may have fallen to a six-month low of about three crore shares in August, but fund managers have continued to accumulate the stock, buying shares worth around ₹13,530 crore during the month, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
