Capri Global raises $300 million through first US dollar bond issue

Capri Global Capital has raised $300 million through its first US dollar bond issuance, as the non-banking financial company looks to diversify its funding sources beyond the domestic market.

The company issued senior secured notes maturing in 2029 at a coupon of 7.55% per annum. The issue attracted an order book of more than $700 million, making it oversubscribed by over 2.3 times, according to the company.

The transaction was managed by Barclays, Citi, Deutsche Bank, Emirates NBD and UBS.

Global investors accounted for a significant portion of the demand. The US contributed 49% of the allocation, followed by Asia at 39% and Europe, the West Asia and Africa (EMEA) at 12%.

Asset and fund managers received 91% of the bonds, while insurance companies accounted for 5%. Banks, private banks and other investors made up the remaining 4%.

The issuance gives Capri Global access to dollar-denominated funding and adds an international source of capital to its existing funding mix.

Capri Global, listed on the BSE and NSE, operates as a retail-focused NBFC with lending businesses spanning gold loans, MSME loans, construction finance and housing finance. The company reported assets under management of more than ₹40,000 crore as of June 30, 2026.
