Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital in Saket has added a 400-bed tower, taking its total capacity to around 1,200 beds and making it the largest private hospital in Delhi by bed capacity, according to Max Healthcare.
Union Home Minister and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the new tower at the hospital in New Delhi on Thursday, September 3. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Health and Family Welfare Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh and South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri attended the event.
The expansion will strengthen the hospital’s ability to provide tertiary and quaternary care across more than 22 specialities. The company said the new facility is aimed at meeting the growing demand for specialised healthcare in Delhi-NCR and beyond.
New tower adds advanced surgical technology
The new facility houses the Da Vinci Xi Surgical Robot and Mako Total Knee Replacement Robot, which Max Healthcare said will support minimally invasive procedures across multiple specialities.
Commenting on the inauguration, Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director of Max Healthcare Institute, said, “This state-of-the-art new facility brings together cutting-edge technology, world-class infrastructure and exceptional Indian clinical talent to deliver advanced, high-quality patient care to people from India and across the globe.”
