Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It has been another week of struggle for the Nifty 50 index and the bulls would hope that the final trading day of the week brings in some relief for them. In case the Nifty fails to close above 24,175 today, it will be the fourth straight weekly loss for the benchmark index.

After the conclusion of CAS on Thursday, the index fell below the 23,900 mark and the bulls would want to defend 23,800 on the downside, failing which, the gates to the recent swing low of 23,600 will open up. It was the Nifty Bank that kept the Nifty afloat on Thursday but neither index could sustain at higher levels.

Thursday’s high of 24,025 will be the first level to watch on the upside, while for the Nifty Bank, sustaining above 57,500 will be key. Oil prices remain near $96 a barrel. Block deals continue, with one likely in Gland Pharma today, while primary market action continues as well with the listing of ESDS.
