In an exchange filing issued on Saturday, September 5, the company said the inspection concluded with the issuance of a Form FDA 483 containing four observations.
Cohance Telangana Plant Gets 483
Cohance said that it has initiated appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and will submit its response within the stipulated timeline.
The United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) carried out it inspection at the pharma company’s formulation (FDF) plant located at Shamshabad, Telangana, from 27 August to 4 September 2026.
As per the US-based drug regulator, a USFDA 483 observation is a documented finding issued by inspectors from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) following an on-site inspection of a facility. It enumerates conditions or actions that could potentially violate federal regulations concerning safety and quality.
While Cohance did not elaborate on the observations, it said; the company remains committed to quality and regulatory compliance.’

The company was in the news recently as the company said that it plans to invest a combined $18 million in New Jersey-based NJ Bio and Aruka Bio as it looks to deepen its push into antibody-drug conjugates, or ADCs, an increasingly important class of targeted cancer treatments.
With its $13 million investment, Cohance will increase its ownership of NJ Bio and invest another $5 million in Aruka Bio.Following the completion of this transaction and an initial equity allocation to Jain, Cohance will directly control 65% of Aruka, with NJ Bio maintaining 25% and Jain holding 10%.
