Inox Wind shares in focus after 100 MW tunrkey order win worth ₹755 crore from Indian Oil


Shares of Inox Wind Ltd. gained on Thursday, September 3, after the company said it has won a 100 MW tunrkey order from Indian Oil corporation worth approximately ₹755 crore.

The order will be executed on a turnkey basis and includes post-commissioning operations and maintenance (O&M) services, the company said in its exchange filing.

As per the contract, Inox Wind will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of the project, including the supply of wind turbine generators, engineering, procurement and construction, project execution and post-commissioning O&M services.

Kailash Tarachandani, group CEO, Renewables business, INOXGFL Group, said this is a repeat order for the company. “We are committed to leveraging our technology, manufacturing and execution capabilities to deliver high-quality projects while contributing meaningfully to India’s clean energy ambition,” Tarachandani said.

Inox Wind reported its June quarter results last month. Its profit declined 34.2% to ₹64.1 crore from ₹97.3 crore last year.

The company’s revenue was down 1.5% at ₹814.1 crore from ₹826.3 crore. This was the second straight quarter of topline decline for the company.

The company’s earnings before interest tax depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) declined 17% to ₹152.5 crore from ₹183.7 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Its margins contracted to 18.7% from 22.2% in the year-ago period. However, the despite the subdued performance, the company reiterated its 75% year-on-year revenue growth and 20% to 22% EBITDA margin guidance.

Shares of Inox Wind were up 0.8% at ₹71.1 apiece at 9.25 am on Thursday. The stock is down 9.8% over the last one month and has extended its year-to-date losses to 42.1%.
